Espen Berg from Hamar grew up as a musician. He has been playing the piano all his life, and already as a six year-old he began playing around with compositions and arrangements in studio. The pianist is now established as a creative and knowledgeable performer on a technically high level. Espen is a former student of the acknowledged Norwegian jazz-pianists Helge Lien and Vigleik Storaas, and in 2004 he received a major talent award based on his progress as a musician. He has been playing with musicians and bands as Michael Urbaniak and Mambo Compañeros, and he is currently teaching at Norwegian University of Science and Technology and at Trøndertun College of music.
